Sometimes the biggest dreams start with the smallest moments.
Little Moments Melts began back in 2020, during lockdown, from my kitchen table.
I certainly didn’t set out with a five-year plan, a business strategy or a vision of where the journey would take me. I simply fell in love with fragrance, started experimenting with wax melts and had one of those little moments where I thought…
“I wonder if I could actually make these myself?”
And that little thought became Little Moments Melts.
Fast forward to today and sometimes I have to stop and remind myself just how far we’ve come.
From the kitchen table to our own workshop
What started as a little idea at home has grown into a luxury home fragrance business, with customers all over the UK and an ever-growing collection of hand-poured candles, wax melts, reed diffusers and home fragrance gifts.
We’ve recently taken another huge step too — moving into our new workshop.
It’s exciting, slightly overwhelming and, as anyone who runs a small business will know, there’s always something to do!
But I love that our products are still made by hand.
Every candle is poured with care. Every fragrance is chosen because I genuinely love it. Every order that leaves us still gives me that little feeling of excitement.
Because behind every product is a real person who cared enough to make it.
A little business that’s becoming a big dream
One of the most incredible parts of this journey has been seeing Little Moments Melts grow beyond anything I could have imagined when I started.
We’ve exhibited at some amazing shows, met wonderful customers and retailers, and had the opportunity to put our products in front of businesses looking for something a little different.
We’ve also been lucky enough to receive some recognition along the way, including becoming a Small Business Sunday winner.
And yes… there have been some pretty incredible people I’ve met along the way too!
But behind the photographs, the shows and the exciting opportunities is something much simpler:
I still absolutely love making beautiful things that make people feel good.
There’s no such thing as an overnight success
Running a small business isn’t always glamorous.
There are very early mornings.
Long days.
Boxes everywhere.
Wax that somehow ends up in places you didn’t know wax could get to!
There are quiet sales weeks, exciting sales weeks, wholesale orders that seem enormous when they arrive and moments when you wonder whether you’re doing any of it right.
And then something happens.
A customer tells you how much they love a fragrance.
A retailer places an order.
Someone discovers your products at a show.
Or a product you’ve poured hundreds of times suddenly becomes your favourite all over again.
Those are the moments that make it worthwhile.
And we’re still dreaming bigger
If you’ve followed Little Moments Melts for a while, you’ll know that I’m always working on something new.
From our candles and wax melts to reed diffusers, room sprays, gift sets and our newest bespoke pieces, we’re constantly looking at ways to grow the collection while keeping the heart of the business the same.
We’ve recently added beautiful bespoke ceramic wax burners to our range, made especially for us by a lovely pottery on the South Coast.
And there is plenty more to come.
Our next big adventure is Autumn Fair at the NEC Birmingham, where we’ll be exhibiting from 6–9 September 2026.
For a business that started around my kitchen table, saying that still feels slightly surreal!
Behind every small business is a story
I think that’s something I’ve come to appreciate more and more as the years have passed.
When you buy from a small business, you’re not just buying a candle.
You’re supporting someone’s dream.
You’re helping a family business grow.
You’re allowing a maker to keep creating.
And you’re becoming part of their story too.
There have been some incredibly difficult moments alongside the wonderful ones, and recently I’ve been reminded that life doesn’t always give us time to pause and appreciate the good things.
So I’m trying to do exactly that.
To appreciate the customers who have supported us.
The retailers who have believed in us.
The people we’ve met along the way.
My family who have helped make this possible.
And that little idea that started on my kitchen table all those years ago.
So what’s next for Little Moments Melts?
Who knows exactly where this journey will take us?
But I do know one thing…
I’m not finished dreaming yet.
From little moments to big dreams, Little Moments Melts continues to grow — one candle, one customer, one order and one little moment at a time.
And if you’ve been part of that journey, thank you.
Whether you’ve bought your first wax melt, ordered one of our candles, discovered us at a show, stocked us in your shop, followed us on social media or simply told a friend about us…
you’ve helped make this little dream a reality.
And I couldn’t be more grateful. 🤎
Here’s to the next chapter.
